Yesterday, in the center of the town of El Bolsón, the presence of explosive material was reported inside a donation box at the parish of Our Lady of Luján. This finding, which did not have national significance, was reported by volunteers from Caritas who were helping those affected by the recent fires in the region. The situation has caused concern among the volunteers and the population, who remain committed to their efforts to assist those affected by the fires.
The devices were ready to be used, but the federal security forces that should have intervened in the incident did not publicly report it. The police forces proceeded to evacuate the area and surrounding businesses to carry out the necessary operations to ensure the safety of the population. Investigations continue to clarify the origin of the explosive material and ensure that there are no more threats in the community.
According to local sources, the explosives would have been found inside a purse, part of the donations that the chapel had received in recent weeks. Witnesses indicate that there would be two explosive devices, although, so far, the authorities, curiously, do not consider the appearance of explosives among the donations to represent an imminent risk.
